THE CALL OF THE FIRST DISCIPLES, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2013

The Call of the First Disciples (Matthew 4:18-22)

The Proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew

[18] And Jesus walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishers). [19] And he saith to them: Come ye after me, and I will make you to be fishers of men. [20] And they immediately leaving their nets, followed him.
[21] And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets: and he called them. [22] And they forthwith left their nets and father, and followed him.
The Gospel of the Lord

Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

MEDITATION: St. Matthew shows us how our Lord Jesus called His first disciples. Jesus Christ the Word of God called our first Pope, St. Peter and his brother, St. Andrew who were fishermen and casting their net on the sea at that time. This is just Christ’s line of command to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.” What a privilege it is! Do you see how great is this calling where you are not just doing an ordinary work now but an extraordinary one? Fishing men instead of fishing fishes?  It is very exciting to see how our Lord invited them to be made by Him to become fishers of men and retiring from fishing fishes in the sea. How definitely exciting it is! St. Peter and St. Andrew were fishermen, and now they will level-up to become fishers of men! But of course it is a tough new course for it is a new beginning, and they will undergo a make-over to become fishers of men. So let us all believe that disciples of God are not born, they were made. Just like I. In my discernment, I used the examen prayer popularized by St. Ignatius de Loyola in his Spiritual Exercises. But what I made is a life examen – starting from the time before I was born until the day I made the examen. As I looked back on my past, I saw that there are light days but not so many, and I also saw my dark ages were I was a bad boy for so many years. It is looking back to your past and you realize that you have so many wonderful and beautiful yesterdays were I must be too grateful for God. Doing the life examen is like constructing a jigsaw puzzle where you arrange those good and bad days of yours and see that your life is beautiful after you picture and imagine your memory of those years of your past. In doing this life examen, I just prayerfully realized that God is really calling me to follow Him and to become a servant of Him alone that’s why I cannot marry – and will never be. God is indeed calling me from the very beginning! Yes, disciples are not born, they were made. But I was also made! In fact, I was made by God before I was born! Now, how happy a man am I! How sweet to see those calls of God to me. You must look back to see the missed calls from God for you.

Going back to St. Peter and St. Andrew, we are told that they were at once left their nets and followed Jesus Christ. We must see that this is freedom and detachment on their part. The call of God and to follow Him is another way of life where all of us who were called must respond by changing our ways, and our ways must be changed by the way that God wants us to take. Obedience to God’s call and command and following Him leads to real freedom. We may talk and waste in telling about freedom is one becoming free from every authority that restrains and enchains our “freedom” and just do whatever we want. We may criticize the Catholic Church from these “againstments” of Hers from our freedom to do everything we want to do. But really not so for the Word of God which is protected by the Church wants us to unfree ourselves from the chains and restraining of the world that makes us worldly, sinful, and evil. True freedom may be achieved by detaching ourselves from the world and following God’s call for us. That’s why I say that to become a Christian is a very tough way and it will make you to believe that it cannot be achieved or it is impossible. You can also believe that to become a Christian or a follower of God or a disciple is to commit suicide and the end of the world for you. Of you course you have to because you cannot go back to your devilish habits or sinful and evil lifestyle. Well, let me tell you. I was now freed from worldly pursuits and now I’m embracing a life of prayer and contemplation. So, what are you now? Yes of course. We are different to one another and some of us were single or in a married life. Just do your part on unfreeing and detaching yourself whatever occupation you are engaged now. Even a wealthy married business man can be as he is even his wealth and business is not his but to people who are in need. He must be detached from these things; following Jesus Christ’s inspirations in disposing this wealth for the common good of all and for God’s greater glory.

We are told that our Lord Jesus also called St. James and St. John who were sons of Zebedee and these three were together in a boat where the two sons were mending their nets. We can reason out that God has another boat for them to use and this is the Catholic Church who has One Father who is in heaven. St. James and St. John’s mending of their nets show that catching men for God is a very hard undertaking for it is a continuous mending of our nets in order to catch souls for God and to put them aboard in the Catholic Church. Again, we must immediately follow the Lord by the time He snaps His call for us. There must be no time to get wasted. All of us Christians of the Catholic Church must do our part on repairing our nets to catch souls for God.

In our first reading for today (Romans 10:9-18), St. Paul makes us meditate that our clean heart made pure by the Holy Spirit makes our calling to God worthy to be heard by God, for everyone who calls God with a clean heart will be saved. And for everyone who calls to the Lord with a clean heart sees God for their hearts are not far from God.

Here are some points to consider:

1 We must be pure of heart so that when we call on God, we will be saved by Him. A person with a mortal sin in his heart is a damned person for God will reject the words in his mouth for his heart is far from the Lord. You must understand that, especially to people who are evildoers.

2. All of us have our calling and duties as disciples. Act as a disciple of the Lord!

3. I pray you understand the first reading. Now, I pray you know and understand how important the Sacrament of Confession and how grave a mortal sin is.

4. Ite inflammate omnia! Go and set the world on fire!

My Little View on Evangelii Gaudium

Here is the link to the Apostolic Exhortation of Pontifex Maximus Holy Papa Franciscus I  -

http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/francesco/apost_exhortations/documents/papa-francesco_esortazione-ap_20131124_evangelii-gaudium_en.html

It must be emphasized that sense of the sacred brings much joy to all for God is happy to share His happiness to us, which we call joy, for sense of the sacred is pleasing to God. In everything that we do, we must let the Holy Spirit to live and act in us for if we have Him, we can be assured that we are in joy - we are in happiness with God. In all that we do, we must check whether the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit can be examined and be seen by us, for if not, then something is wrong with us. So, it is by letting God to live and act in us and not us in ourselves that we will live in joy and love, our love will become like the Love of God. - Mary H. Distributist

THE LESSON OF THE FIG TREE, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2013

The Lesson of the Fig Tree (Luke 21: 29-33)

The Proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke

[29] And he spoke to them in a lesson. See the fig tree, and all the trees: [30] When they now shoot forth their fruit, you know that summer is near;
[31] So you also, when you shall see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is at hand. [32] Amen, I say to you, this generation shall not pass away, till all things be fulfilled. [33]Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
The Gospel of the Lord

Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

MEDITATION: The Gospel of St. Luke tells us that Jesus Christ taught them a lesson. This may seem strange for our Lord Jesus always teach them a lesson. What is the difference between a lesson and a teaching? Are not the two synonymous to one another? But what’s new in our Gospel for this Friday?

Our Lord Jesus told us to consider the fig tree and all the other trees. Here, we must know that the fig tree is the mysterious tree that was mentioned alone and is identified alone by Christ. What is the fig tree? The fig tree is the symbol of the messianic peace that our Lord Jesus brings. When this fig tree and all the other trees burst open their buds, we must see and know that summer is now near. For it is in the time of spring where buds burst open for a new start, new beginnings, or new life where all of these prepare and anticipate the glorious splendour of the sun in the summer, so we must also prepare and anticipate the glorious splendour of our Lord Jesus Christ in His second coming. We enjoyed His peace that was given to us on earth even though we are surrounded by chaos, anxieties, and agitations we receive from the world, we must burst open ourselves for a new start, new beginnings, or new life for the Peace Himself which is God comes for us to be taken in His glorious abode and eternal life where peace reigns, for God is peace Himself. The second coming of the Lord is not the end but a new beginning, a new start, and a new life, in God.

In the same way, our Lord Jesus tells us that when we see these things happening, we must know that the Kingdom of God is near. When we see the signs or signals that our Lord Jesus said before His coming takes place, we must know that the Kingdom of God is near. This may seem strange. Is not the Kingdom of God is already here on earth? Is not the Kingdom of God is here and is among us just like what the Lord Jesus told the Pharisees who asked Him about the Kingdom of God? Is not it? Yes. We can ask those questions. But we must know that the Kingdom of God here on earth is not the fullness of it as it really is. It is just like the Most Blessed Sacrament. It is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ but it is not the fullness of Jesus Christ Himself personally, as a person with human body; it is not the fullness of Jesus Christ as Himself as He is as a God in a human body. Jesus Christ is here but His own person is not here; He is absent, but He is present and vice versa. So same just like the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God on this earth is just a foretaste and just the one percent out of the 99 percent of what the Kingdom of God really is. Therefore I conclude - we must wait for the fullness of the Kingdom of God which is to come.

Then Jesus Christ assures us as He said, “Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” That’s why we cannot doubt anything that is written in the Bible, cover to cover. For if we will doubt anything that is written in the sacred scriptures, then, what is the only Truth? Is just the truth for us is the only truth that we just sense and see? How about the things we cannot see and sense? Just like the air. We know that we cannot see it, but we believe it exists and without it, we will die. It is same with the Truth. We cannot see God, but we can know He exists and is there who loves us so great. So, not to know a loving God is to die. That’s how indescribably great the Word of God is! For in Him, we will know everything we must know about Him.

Here are some points to consider:

1 Is yourself burst open, prepared and ready for the glorious coming of the Lord?

2. Have you even thought of detaching yourself from the things that disconnects you totally from the sanctifying grace and love of God to you?

3. When will you allow God to change yourself?

4. It is not too late to enjoy the peace the Lord brings. Make peace with Him in the Sacrament of Confession.

5. Have a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth and Mother of God.

Preach the Truth!

“Jesus, I trust in You” “O Mary conceive without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

To the greater glory of God!

THE GREAT TRIBULATION AND THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2013

The Great Tribulation and the Coming of the Son of Man (Luke 21:20-28)

The Proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke

[20] And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed about with an army; then know that the desolation thereof is at hand.
[21] Then let those who are in Judea, flee to the mountains; and those who are in the midst thereof, depart out: and those who are in the countries, not enter into it. [22] For these are the days of vengeance, that all things may be fulfilled, that are written. [23] But woe to them that are with child, and give suck in those days; for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.[24] And they shall fall by the edge of the sword; and shall be led away captives into all nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles; till the times of the nations be fulfilled. [25] And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, by reason of the confusion of the roaring of the sea and of the waves;
[26] Men withering away for fear, and expectation of what shall come upon the whole world. For the powers of heaven shall be moved; [27] And then they shall see the Son of man coming in a cloud, with great power and majesty. [28] But when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is at hand.
The Gospel of the Lord

Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

MEDITATION: The Gospel is really frightening indeed for it is as it is. Jesus Christ tells us that if we see the Holy City surrounded by armies, we must know that the desolation or abandonment of it is at hand. Then those who belong to the Church must flee to the mountains. We must know that in the bible, a mountain is always portrayed as the place where God, His laws, commands, and decrees descend to His people. The chosen ones of God ascends to the mountain, and they descends by the time they have the Word of God in them for the whole people to hear as it was proclaimed or preached to them. We are told by the Lord Jesus that if we are within the city, we must escape from it, and those in the countryside must not enter the city for in these days where these things had began to happen are the time of punishment were all the scriptures are fulfilled. Now, we must know that this is frightening for first, the scriptures contain the Old Testament and the New Testament and, there are so many mysterious meanings the Old one is having. Here, we must know that although all the public revelations ended when St. John the evangelist died, we must know that we are still the people of the New Testament and the Old Testament is our past that we cannot escape from. Indeed, St. Augustine’s saying really fits this: “The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed; the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed.” And in our times I believe, the Old Testament revelations continues for we are its New Testament. And, we must also remember that the Word of God in the Old Testament is Jesus Christ Himself but hidden and in the New Testament, this Word of God was made flesh where Jesus Christ is revealed as a God and Man so, we cannot throw away the Old Testament whenever we wish for it is the same Word of the Old and the New where we see here how terribly frightening the mysterious revelations both in the Old and the New Testament. How terribly frightening when the fulfilment of the scriptures is nearing to its manifestations?

In those days pregnant women and nursing mothers will be in misery for they will never be spared from the terrible calamity and wrathful judgement upon the people of this earth. These women will even bless the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed, for even their children will taste their misery that caused by the anger of God against the people. The giving of life or offspring will definitely reach its end. And God’s wrath will be a terrible one because of the destruction of the earthly manifestations of the Kingdom of God caused by the Gentiles where the Church of Him will be destroyed and desecrated by these enemies. In terrible grief, we will shout to the mountains, “Fall upon us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!” For even us cannot go back to defend and save God’s Holy Church from the Gentiles, and we cannot save ourselves from God’s terrible anger in His coming. For what is the use of the Kingdom of God but to save and bring life? And yet, all the nations did not give great importance and reverence to this Kingdom of God and Her work for salvation and life and worst, they desecrated Her and killed Her servants who works for Her. God will indeed be in wrath for if His Church is already here who promises salvation and life, what will happen when it is no longer saves and brings life? For if the Church receives these wicked and desecrating attacks from Her enemies, how much more will these Gentiles do when the Church its nearing its end where the work of salvation and life is consummated? Indeed, the time will come when the purpose of the Church on this earth will reach its end.

But the coming of the Son of Man will be at hand. There will be inexplicable signs that will manifest before God shows Himself. People will die of fright while waiting what is coming upon the world for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And we will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these signs begin to happen, the Lord Jesus told us that we must stand erect and raise our heads because our salvation is at hand. We can see here that on the Second Coming of the Lord, there will also salvation that will happen. But who will be saved? Those self-proclaimed righteous persons who in their arrogance say that they are Christians and they are saved already by Jesus Christ and they are the only one that will be saved by God? We must pray that we worked out our salvation that we received with fear and trembling, for if we will fully realize what it means to be baptized by water and Spirit and be confirmed by the seal of God in our foreheads making us soldiers of God, we will work for the King and His Kingdom with all of our might.

So, let us show to God our readiness and preparedness in His Second Coming for we do not know the day nor the hour. We must anticipate His coming and behold Him, showing our respect for the coming of our King Jesus Christ and raising our heads to see our Lord for our salvation is at hand! Like Daniel in the first reading of today (Daniel 6:12-28), God will save us from the lions and instead, will put the Gentiles to the den where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.

Here are some points to consider:

1 Live your baptismal and confirmation promises with fear and trembling.

2. Do your all working for the King and His Kingdom.

3. We must not reject the Old Testament. It is important for it is also Jesus Christ that was inscribed and printed in our bibles.

4. Do your homework as a Universal Christian!

5. Go and set the world on fire!

“Jesus, I trust in You” “O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

THE COMING PERSECUTIONS, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2013

The Coming Persecutions (Luke 21:12-19)

The Proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke

[12] But before all these things, they will lay their hands upon you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons, dragging you before kings and governors, for my name' s sake. [13] And it shall happen unto you for a testimony.[14] Lay it up therefore into your hearts, not to meditate before how you shall answer: [15] For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to resist and gainsay.
[16] And you shall be betrayed by your parents and brethren, and kinsmen and friends; and some of you they will put to death. [17] And you shall be hated by all men for my name' s sake. [18] But a hair of your head shall not perish. [19] In your patience you shall possess your souls.
The Gospel of the Lord

Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

MEDITATION: The Gospel for this Wednesday tells us about the persecutions we will face before we see the signs, and the destruction of the Temple that was foretold by Jesus Christ. Our Lord tells us that we will be handed over to governments and rulers because of the Lord’s name which will be the “culprit” why we are being persecuted. But our Jesus Christ advices us that we must remember that we are not going to prepare a defense and on giving testimony before them for our Lord Jesus Christ assures us solidly that He Himself will give us wisdom in speaking that all of our enemies will be powerless to resist or refute. In the first reading today (Daniel 5:1-28), Daniel was in service for king Belshazzar who is the son of Daniel’s former boss, king Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel was brought before the king but not to defend himself, but to be used to interpret the words on the wall written by fingers of a human hand that writes alone and just itself! That is frightening which left the king and his company in confusion where even his people of extraordinary powers such as enchanters had no means to interpret the words written. But when Daniel who has the Holy Spirit in him was brought in, he gave the meaning and interpretation of these words. Now, let us remember that it is not Daniel just by himself who speaks but the Holy Spirit that is in him that made him to be known for his brilliant knowledge and god-like wisdom for without the Holy Spirit, Daniel is nothing by himself.

The sad and disturbing thing here is even our parents, brothers, relatives, and friends – all of our closest neighbors, will be the one who will hand us over to the persecutors and some of us to death. We will all be despised because of Jesus Christ’s name, but do not worry for God fully knows us that even all of our hairs on our head are numbered and, if it is so, then God’s knowledge of us His servants and handmaids will never be destroyed. By our perseverance until the end for God, we will secure our lives but not because we are saving ourselves, but because we lose our lives for God’s sake thus saving our lives.

In the end, our persecutors, all of them, will taste death that God reserved for them. Like king Belshazzar who desecrated the sacred vessels of the Lord, who became arrogant of heart despite the fact that he knew what is good and what is bad, who rebelled against the Lord of heaven, who praised the gods who were not really gods at all making himself an idol worshipper, who did not glorified the Only One God that must be rendered glory for He Himself is the Only One who deserves glorification; God sent a message for all of them that will make their face pale, their thoughts will terrify them, their hip joints will be shaken, and their knees will be knocked. For God says MENE, TEKEL, PERES to them which means:

“MENE, God has numbered the reign of your evilness and put an end to it; TEKEL, you have been weighed on the scales and found insufficient; PERES, you of evilness, your body and soul together has been divided for Satan and his demons into the eternal damnation.”

So that will be the fate of all of our evil persecutors.

Truly, truly the words of the Blessed Virgin Mary in her only recorded Canticle fits our first reading and the Gospel for today (Luke 1:46-55) :

[46] And Mary said: My soul doth magnify the Lord. [47] And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. [48] Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed[49] Because he that is mighty, hath done great things to me; and holy is his name. [50] And his mercy is from generation unto generations, to them that fear him. [51] He hath showed might in his arm: he hath scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart. [52]He hath put down the mighty from their seat, and hath exalted the humble. [53] He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. [54] He hath received Israel his servant, being mindful of his mercy: [55] As he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed for ever.

Let us pray this Magnificat of our Queen and Mother Mary for in her, we will secure our lives.

Here are some points to consider:

1 We must let the Holy Spirit live and act in us.

2. Let us trust God that He will send the Holy Spirit in us that will speak for us against our enemies and persecutors.

3. Let us live the righteousness that Queen Mary said in her Magnificat.

4. Let us not imitate king Belshazzar but let us imitate Mama Mary.

5. We must always remember that, “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”

6. Contemplare et contemplata aliis tradere

7. Laudare, Benedicere, Praedicare

VERITAS!

“Jesus, I trust in You.” “O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

DESTRUCTION TEMPLE AND END SIGNS GMT TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26,2013

Destruction of the Temple Foretold and the Signs of the End (Luke 21:5-11)

The Proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke

[5] And some saying of the temple, that it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said:
[6] These things which you see, the days will come in which there shall not be left a stone upon a stone that shall not be thrown down. [7] And they asked him, saying: Master, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when they shall begin to come to pass? [8] Who said: Take heed you be not seduced; for many will come in my name, saying, I am he; and the time is at hand: go ye not therefore after them. [9] And when you shall hear of wars and seditions, be not terrified: these things must first come to pass; but the end is not yet presently. [10] Then he said to them: Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
[11] And there shall be great earthquakes in divers places, and pestilences, and famines, and terrors from heaven; and there shall be great signs.
The Gospel of the Lord

Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

MEDITATION: In the first reading of this Tuesday (Daniel 2:31-45), we are told that King Nebuchadnezzar had a vision of a statue made up of different elements of precious things and was struck by a stone that became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

We can deduce that in this reading, it tells us the reign of the pagan kingdoms that will bloom after the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar, and the destruction of these kingdoms when the Kingdom of God came to destroy them. The Kingdom that God set up shall never be destroyed or delivered up to another people; This Kingdom of God will destroy to pieces these kingdoms and put an end to them, and this Kingdom of God will stand forever.

In the Gospel, the Temple or the Church of God was said by Jesus Christ that this will be destroyed also. This may be confusing. In the Book of Daniel, it says that the Kingdom of God will stand forever and it will never be destroyed. But in the Gospel, Jesus Christ said that the stones that made the Temple will all be thrown down.

Jesus Christ is referring to the members of His Church that fail to become worthy stones that also included in the Mystical Body of Christ. Yes, the Kingdom of God will never be destroyed and it will stand forever, but, in God’s Kingdom, there are people who were under the King Jesus’ command and laws that they do not observe nor obey. These people are just happy to be belonged to God’s Kingdom but they do not work for the King or for the sake of the King’s Kingdom. Or, if they are working, they do not do their very best with persistence and perseverance where in the end, they grow cold; they maybe in the middle of cold and hot or in other words, lukewarm. And you know what happens to these people when they are like that and, to see what will happen to them, go to Revelations 3:16. These people are just good and seem holy on the outside but full of dirt on the inside.

In the Book of Daniel, we can also reason out that these kingdoms are the reigning ones that had a great influence upon the earth. The kingdom of gold maybe likened to the philosophy that first reigned in the world, especially the pagan world. The kingdom of silver is the time of the vast accumulation of power by many who goes to and fro to take lands and everything. The Kingdom of bronze is the Theology that will spread like fire throughout the earth where the Word of God will be proclaimed that will satisfy the hunger of the people whose stomach is empty of the Truth and what is Divine, and these people of Theology will teach them how to deal with this God and His Truth. The fourth reigning influence is the Catholic Church who, like iron, will break the former influences into divisions where these must be governed and cared prudently according to the Truth and must be in accordance to the Truth. Then the Catholic Church will be divided into Truth and the other to error and heresy, “but yet have some of the hardness of iron” and that is the Truth. The Catholic Church may have parts where it is strong and the other part is fragile. This may mean the Traditionalists and the fragile part, the Modernists. They may be together in their respective walks of life most especially on the Catholic Church where they established peace and love between them but they will not stay united for their respective viewpoints will never be united together just like iron and clay. In the Second Coming of God, He will put an end to all of these, dividing the good and the bad, and God’s Kingdom will never be destroyed and will stand forever.

And there will be terrible happenings in the world but Jesus Christ warns us that we must be vigilant for there are many that will come in the name of the Lord and will lead many astray by deception. These terrible happenings must happen first but it will not be immediately the end.

Here are some points to consider:

1 We must not just be righteous on the outside but also and most importantly, on the inside.

2. Keep the fire burning in you until the day of the coming of the Lord.

3. Be always vigilant especially against false messiahs and false prophets that will take you away from the Catholic Church.

4. Be like an iron of Truth and not clay of error and heresy.

5. Proclaim to yourself that you will become a saint of God that you will serve the King and His Kingdom.

“Jesus, I trust in You.” “O Mary conceive without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

The Poor Widow's Contribution, GMT for MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2013

The Poor Widow's Contribution (Luke 21:1-4)

The Proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke

[1] And looking on, he saw the rich men cast their gifts into the treasury. [2] And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in two brass mites. [3] And he said: Verily I say to you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: [4] For all these have of their abundance cast into the offerings of God: but she of her want, hath cast in all the living that she had.

The Gospel of the Lord

Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

MEDITATION : The Gospel for this Monday gives us a person to imitate, and this is the poor widow whom Jesus Christ noticed. Beside some wealthy people, this poor widow puts her two small coins as offerings into the treasury just as her love for God and her love for her neighbor is a matter she must offer to God. We can say that this poor widow has no deceit in her heart for she is true in giving her offering. And even so her two small coins is far more humble than those of wealthy men whose offerings came from surplus wealth that they do not treasure the most and has no much importance to them, the poor widow’s heart in giving her offering is much more big and great than the rest. Her intentions are pure in giving her part. Her act is a prayer. Her two small coins, though it is her whole livelihood, was offered even if she is in poverty! Why so? It is so because the poor widow knows in her heart that all of these things will be brought to nothing. All of these material riches and earthly possessions are nothing. The words of C.S. Lewis or Clive Staples Lewis were very fitting to the act of the poor widow: “Everything that is not eternal is worthless in eternity.”

The poor widow’s contribution may be likened to the two great commandments of God. To love God with all of what you are and all of what you have and to love you neighbor as you love yourself. You can love without money. It is so because you can love God and your neighbor as yourself even without material things or money. The poor widow shows that she herself can be detached from earthly things because she has God in who she is attached and is dependent on Him alone. She is free from earthly things that encircle persons with chains and pulling them together unto them. That is why we must not let our possessions possess us. You must not let your possession possess you.

The poor widow is an anawim or poor in spirit because although she is poor when it comes to material possessions or earthly riches, herself is rich in God; she have God as her support, she clings to God and is dependent on Him. She possesses only God, her Only possession that freed her from the vanities of this world.

You? What are your possessions that possess you? Can you consider freeing yourself and detaching yourself from these things that makes you mad? Can you not have but one possession which is God?

Let me share you a song that breaks me often into tears which I use even me singing it alone in my home. This “Paghahandog ng Sarili” or “Kunin Mo, O Diyos” was composed by a Filipino Jesuit priest whose surname is Hontiveros.

“Kunin Mo, O Diyos, at tanggapin Mo.

And from the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola S.J., translation by Louis J. Puhl, S.J.. This is one of the prayers written by St. Ignatius aside from Anima Christi. This is the Suscipe.

“Take, Lord, and accept all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will, all that I have and possess. Thou hast given all to me. To Thee, O Lord, I return it. All is Thine, dispose of it wholly according to Thy will. Give me Thy love and Thy grace, for this is sufficient for me.”

And St. Teresa of Avila’s prayer which I written down in a bookmark:

“Let nothing disturb you.
Let nothing dismay you.
All things pass.
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God, finds he lacks nothing.
God alone is enough.”

And my two prayers as a follower of Montfort Spirituality:

“I am all Thine and all that I have is Thine, O most loving Jesus, through Mary, Your most holy Mother.”

“I am a useless slave of the King Jesus through my Queen and Mother Mary. I am just doing what is commanded of me by my King and Queen.” (Luke 17:10)

Here are some points to consider:

1 We must all be poor in spirit even if we are rich in material possessions because we are just stewards of these things and we must share these with love to our neighbors who are in need of these.

2. Give your all to God, and everything that you are.

3. Do not let your earthly possessions possess you.

4. “Do not serve God to have a reward. Let God be your reward!” – St. Augustine

“Jesus, I trust in You.” “O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

To the greater glory of God!

QUESTION ABOUT THE RESURRECTION, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2013

QUESTION ABOUT THE RESURRECTION (Luke 20:27-40)

The Proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke

[27] And there came to him some of the Sadducees, who deny that there is any resurrection, and they asked him, [28] Saying: Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man' s brother die, having a wife, and he leave no children, that his brother should take her to wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. [29] There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children. [30] And the next took her to wife, and he also died childless.
[31] And the third took her. And in like manner all the seven, and they left no children, and died.[32] Last of all the woman died also. [33] In the resurrection therefore, whose wife of them shall she be? For all the seven had her to wife. [34] And Jesus said to them: The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: [35] But they that shall be accounted worthy of that world, and of the resurrection from the dead, shall neither be married, nor take wives.
[36] Neither can they die any more: for they are equal to the angels, and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. [37] Now that the dead rise again, Moses also shewed, at the bush, when he called the Lord, The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob;[38] For he is not the God of the dead, but of the living: for all live to him. [39] And some of the scribes answering, said to him: Master, thou hast said well. [40] And after that they durst not ask him any more questions.
The Gospel of the Lord
Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

MEDITATION : The Gospel for today shows us that when our earthly life reached its end, our souls goes to God in heaven and we will be like angels because we will no longer die; we are the children of God because He raises us to go to Him who knows that we lived on this earth worthy of eternal life even if we are unworthy of it. Jesus Christ told the Sadducees that, “The children of this age marry and remarry.” It is really so for first, a man and a woman are designed to each other. Second, if a man and a woman are called to get married, they must be open to offspring. Third, our earthly body was designed to search for another earthly body that were called to a designed love that God wills, it is God who authored it for He Himself is Love; where earthly man and woman’s respective genders fulfills their calling inside of marriage and open themselves to the Creating Love of God that reflects on their responsibility to have a child or children of their own which is the fruit of their earthly love according to God’s Love that Creates.

The Gospel is also a spring of knowledge about ourselves and what will happen to us after our earthly life. Before the fall of Adam and Eve to sin and death, their respective body is pure and they are purely innocent before their fall. But when they have eaten the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge, they became impure of thought and lost their innocence when they found themselves naked. Now, they are like impure angels who we can call devils living in human flesh for they know now, like the good angels and bad angels, the good and the bad. For Adam and Eve have soul which is a spirit that may be likened to the angels who were pure spirits, their soul is living inside of a flesh that disengages them away from the intensity and consequences that lies between what is eternal good and what is eternal bad. If you are in eternal good, then you are like the good angels who is close to God; but if you are in eternal bad, then you are like Satan and his demons, who chose to rebel against God, who chose to be like God even if they cannot become because they are creatures created by the Creator. In their arrogance and their perverse act on not accepting that human being which is the Blessed Virgin Mary (Revelations 11:19 – 12:1-18) is going to be served by them who were angels and proud of themselves that they are superior to a human being like Mama Mary. How come must I serve a human being when in fact I am an angel? Lucifer has a point. And that conviction on his point led him to become Satan and the head of demons. So we can deduce that how important it is not to sin or commit deadly sins that will cause us to suffer eternal damnation like Satan and his demons.

Because we humans do not fully realize what sin really is and the deadly consequences of it because we are pure spirits but trapped in a flesh, we always disregard greatly the reality that we will suffer eternal damnation because of committing deadly sins. That’s why we must live a holy life who despises greatly the sins that will cause us to suffer the hellfire.

But sadly, because of the consequences of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge is becoming us humans “to be like gods” which the serpent refers to themselves and to the good angels who knows what is eternal good and what is eternal bad, we often see ourselves like gods or the devils because of our pride or arrogance that caused them to be cut-off eternally from the Love of God that makes them devils or evil spirits.

In our world, humans marry because it is also a command of God that “the two shall become one flesh” and they must be open to offspring. Now, some of these offspring or children can live like angels who do not marry but they live as if they are angels that were trapped in the flesh of concupiscence or ardent sexual desire. These children do not desire marriage because they are not called by God to do so and their love for God shows that to love God is enough and God’s Love is enough for them. Although of course they know really well that it is not evil to marry, but they want to live like angels; they want to be married in love of God alone and they want their love for God not to become divided by not loving a human person in marriage for they want to love God by saving and serving souls for Him. A very good and great example is my Brother St. Thomas Aquinas. Actually, he is the Angelic Doctor especially because of his angelic purity, his brilliant study about the angels, and his angelic-like wisdom and knowledge.

When we humans die, our soul goes whether to God or to Satan. Now, when our soul is for God, in the Resurrection of the dead, our earthly bodies will be taken up and be joined together with our souls and in this mystery is as if God is renewing the time again as if He is creating again the pure of soul and body Adam and Eve before these two fell. This is greatly different from the Blessed Virgin Mary because after her earthly life, her body and soul was still intact together and was taken up both to heaven. This mystery is what we call the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Body and Soul into heaven.

Now, when we say dead, this term also means body. When our dead had risen up, it is just because we lived and died for the Lord. And due to this, our Lord desires us to be with Him because we are alive to Him and we are not dead of sin and death. Now, we will not know our relational connections to each other when we go to God because we are now brothers to one another and we have but One Father. My earthly father, mother, brothers, and sisters will all be my brothers and sisters and I am also likewise to them, and God is our Father.

In addition to this, many of the people of God who had died, but was found that their earthly body did not suffered from corruption. It is just so because they lived their lives by knowing God, loving God, and serving God with the love that may be likened to the love the good angels have for God. They lived like angels but in human flesh. And many of them were servants and handmaids of the Blessed Virgin Mary the Mother of God. Their earthly body is still pure and innocent until now because they lived their body like that of pure and innocent Adam and Eve before these two fell into sin and death. Their bodies were kept away from lust and preserved in purity and innocence. Their knowledge is full of the good and Goodness of God who is Good Himself and their knowledge of bad is fully well known to them that show why they did not sinned against God that will cause them to suffer death or worst, eternal damnation. They lived in the Holy Spirit and sanctifying grace. Now if you desire that your earthly body will not suffer corruption after your death, then have a great devotion to Mama Mary for She will lead you to the Way, to the Truth, and to the Life. Mama Mary will definitely lead you to Brother Jesus.

Here are some points to consider:

1 We can live a life like that of Saint Thomas Aquinas. Please kindly read, meditate, and contemplate on his life.

2. All of us humans must live a life or righteousness that surpasses to that of the scribes and the Pharisees (Matthew 5:20).

3. We must have a great devotion to the Mother of God the Blessed Virgin Mary.

4. Contemplare et contemplata aliis tradere.

5. We must let the Holy Spirit to live and act in us and not us on ourselves.

6. Pray like this (this is my version from the Gospel of Luke, Attitude of a Servant): I am a useless slave of my Lord Jesus through my Queen and Mother Mary. I am just doing what is commanded of me by my King and Brother and my Queen and Mother.

“Jesus, I trust in you.” “O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

Christ the King (C) - "Where the King is, there is the Kingdom" - Sir Quirino M. Sugon Jr.

SOLEMNITY OF CHRIST THE KING
Luke 23:35-43
November 24, 2013

The Proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke

The people stood by and watched; the rulers, meanwhile,
sneered at him and said, “He saved others, let him save himself
if he is the chosen one, the Messiah of God.” Even the soldiers
jeered at him. As they approached to offer him wine they called out,
“If you are King of the Jews, save yourself.”Above him there
was an inscription that read, “This is the King of the Jews.”
Now one of the criminals hanging there reviled Jesus, saying,
“Are you not the Messiah? Save yourself and us.” The
other, however, rebuking him, said in reply, “Have you no fear
of God, for you are subject to the same condemnation? And
indeed, we have been condemned justly, for the sentence
we received corresponds to our crimes, but this man
has done nothing criminal.”

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your
kingdom.” He replied to him, “Amen, I say to you, today you
will be with me in Paradise.

The Gospel of the Lord
Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

The Gospel for this Sunday tells us how the Israelites doubted and had great disbelief about the “Messiahship” of Jesus Christ, the Anointed One of God. Jesus Christ the King of Kings was treated very differently from the treatment they gave to David, a mere human being, which they honored and acknowledged before God as King of Israel. They did not know that they are the “bone and the flesh” (2 Samuel 5:1) of Jesus Christ the Head who will “shepherd His Body, the Church and shall be commander of it” (2 Samuel 5:2). Although they seemed anointed Jesus Christ and acknowledged Him jokingly as “The King of the Jews”, they were really right for God is really the King of the Jews. God willed that His Son must suffer and die in the hands of His chosen people that they may know that Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and He is above King David His servant whom they acknowledged as King of Israel. In Jesus Christ we are anointed by the Blood He shed for us on His cross. We are saved by the Father’s Beloved Son so that we may enjoy and thank the Father for He made us fit to share in the inheritance of the angels; He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to King Jesus’ Kingdom where there is redemption and forgiveness of sins which we call as Christ’ Kingdom, the Church (Colossians 1:12-13); and that Kingdom of King Jesus is no other than His Mother Mary, the Queen.

King Jesus the Eternal Word is really the King above all human kings for all the things that exist was made through Him. It is truly right and just that all of these created things must be dedicated to God and be recreated in God for He made it, and in Jesus Christ all the created things hold together. He is the Head of the Body, the Church, for in this Church all created things must be dedicated to God and be recreated in God which is the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God. Because Jesus Christ is the beginning, and He existed first before all existing things, He must take up a human body and to die on the cross and shed blood to reconcile in peace the heaven and the earth. For just as King Jesus Christ the Eternal Word was the reason why all things were created, He must be the Eternal Word made flesh that will recreate again the things created through Him, by His Blood that was shed on the cross, which is also the blood of the Queen Mother Mary for in her Jesus Christ’ humanity was formed and taken by the King Jesus from her. For as blood is the reason why our body is living and we have life, so also must all created things be together by the Blood of King Jesus that will flow in the Head Jesus and His Body the Church that will make us living members of the Body of Christ which is also the Body of Mary, the Tree of Life, the bearer and bringer of Blood and Life Jesus the King. It is true indeed that the Blood of Christ sticks us together. It is true indeed that Christ’ Blood bonds us together. Now, we must be like the penitent criminal, who acknowledged God and feared Him, and he also acknowledged that God is also a man. He asked God to remember him, he also admitted his sins and did contrition, acknowledged that King Jesus is purely innocent like a pure lamb, and in turn, Jesus Christ the King belonged him in His Saving and Recreating Blood that was shed for us on the cross.

Here are some points to consider:

1 We must all be a Marian devotee. We must let Mama Mary to recreate and dedicate us in her in order to be recreated and dedicated in and for Jesus Christ.

2. We must be attentive in admitting our sins in contrition of our heart in the Sacrament of Confession. We must reconcile ourselves to God for we kill Him as an innocent and pure Lamb again and again by our sins, the deadly ones particularly. So, stop sinning and live a holy life!

3. We must also stop sinning venial sins.

4. Imitate the saints who were perfect persons in imitating Christ.

“Jesus, I trust in You.” “O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

To the greater glory of God! Glory to Christ the King!

The True Church of Christ is Revealed!

ANSWER ME : Tell me when is your Church existed - trace it from Jerusalem up to your place where your Church is standing right now. If you cannot answer how the Church of yours reached you from Jerusalem where it was first established, then, you are not the true Church that Christ established. It is better if you damn your false Church once you found the point:D Come home. Come home to the Church of the Lord our God! - Mary H. Distributist

GOSPEL AND MEDITATIONS TODAY, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2013

The Cleansing of the Temple (Luke 19:45-48)

The Proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke

[45] And entering into the temple, he began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought.
[46] Saying to them: It is written: My house is the house of prayer. But you have made it a den of thieves. [47] And he was teaching daily in the temple. And the chief priests and the scribes and the rulers of the people sought to destroy him: [48] And they found not what to do to him: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
The Gospel of the Lord
Praise to You Lord Jesus Christ
The Gospel, the First Reading (1 Maccabees 4-36-39), and the Psalms for today tells us the necessity and rightness to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass according to the Bible which is the source of all truth and about the Truth which is Jesus. In the first reading the people of God put on a whole-body mortification which an act of atonement or reparation to the defilement done to the Church. It shows us a great reason on why we are "not supposed to be enjoying the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass" as Fr. Timoteo "Tim" Ofrasio S.J. puts it. It was defiled every moment of its life so we must bear the sacrifices and suffering in atonement for the blasphemies, desecrations, and the like which were done against it. The Church is being defiled inside and outside by Her enemies and Her evil members. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was defiled inside and outside by Her members who wants a loud, festive, simple without incense, candlesticks on the altar, organ, chasuble and just a stole for the priests. It must be enjoyable, entertaining, short, a concert, a dance contest, energy-full, a parade of the arrogant and evildoers, and a comedy-bar like Mass. Her enemies defile the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass inside and outside by desecrating the Sacred Hosts like Satanists on their Black Masses. And even the Church's unworthy communicants holds and; eats the Body of Christ unworthily (1 Corinthians 11:23-30).

The Pope, Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops, Priests, and Deacons must be blameless and devoted to the Law of God and in the Sacred Scriptures. They must be holy and obedient to the Word of God for they will be liable to God's Judgement until the end of their earthly life. They must be prudent on what to do and what to avoid becoming "uncut stones" for the altar of the Lord (1 Maccabees 6:47 & Exodus 20-25). They must also let God, they must let Jesus Christ the King to consecrate them and Jesus Christ must do this while "facing the Temple of the Lord" (1 Kings 8:64) or which is called Ad Orientem or "facing the tabernacle" while the priests offer sacrifices and while they offer the Holy Sacrifice which is Jesus Christ, the Body and Blood of the Lamb of God to the Most High.

They must be pure interiorly (Matthew 5:8), they must be holy and perfect, purified by their intentions that they will let the Holy Spirit to sanctify them by sanctifying grace and let Him work and act for them so that their actions is God's actions and not theirs. They must repair themselves in order to repair others, and put things that are acceptable in God's sight and in God's commands or in His holy words. They must know when to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass joyfully to celebrate the reconsecration of the Church who is Christ's Body. They on those joyful days must prostrate themselves before the Lord.
They must purify and made clean themselves in order to purify and clean also the others and afterwards the Gentiles as well so that the sinners will become "holy yet sinners but not sinning"; their disgrace must be changed with sanctifying grace of the Holy Spirit.

The Psalms for today (1 Chronicles 29:10-12) shows the necessity and rightness why the priests must face the tabernacle or celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass Ad Orientem. God is the "head over all" (1 Chronicles 29:11). Now, the priests symbolize the Head which is God; but it must be understood that priests are not Jesus Christ themselves. So, as a symbol of God's Head, they must be facing the tabernacle and not the people because if it is Ad Populum or priests facing the people, it does not make any sense and in fact weird for as if God is conscious of His Body while glorifying and adoring God; and the Head must not look upon His Body, rather, He must look upon the Most High.

All the priests must enter the Church and drive out devils who exchanges false good things to the people in order to buy their souls by pushing them to commit sin. The devil's products are his temptations to humankind. They must be driven out by the priests in order to save the people from the false good things of Satan and his demons. For it is the truth that God is the Only Good and is the source of all goodness.

Prayer is the Holy Spirit and vice versa for the Holy Spirit is the Love of the Father and the Son and Prayer is the desire or Love that lets us desire and love God, who is Love Himself. The Prayer or the Holy Spirit puts us to that Love between the Love of the Father and the Son to One another.
So all of us must pray that the Holy Spirit lives and acts in us; making us live in sanctifying grace, and not of the defiling sin that the devil produces in us. We must have the Holy Spirit and not the Spirit of the Devil which is sin that will pull us to eternal damnation after earthly death.

The priests must also teach in and on God's Church. They must also be on guard against those enemies who wants them and the Church to be defiled by sin and wants Satan to reign in them and on the Church of God. So the lay people must hang or depend on them; on the priest proclamation of the Gospels or the Word of God and on their preaching which bears the Light and Truth Jesus Christ. All of them must depend on the Truth. All of them must hang on Jesus Christ and on His holy words.

Here are some points to consider:

1. The priests must celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass facing the tabernacle - that bears, like Mama Mary, the Sacred Species which are the Body of Christ - the Head of the Church or the Body.

2. We are not supposed to enjoy the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass except on those days that the Church authority declares as joyful days especially these are the days of reconsecration. In the Mass, the Holy Spirit will make you sad and not joyful. If ever you are joyful before the Mass and during the Mass, and before the "Go, you are sent forth", then, there is something wrong with you. This teaching of course is only applicable to the supposed sad days after all the joyful days.

3. The people must obey the Church authority's commands if the Church authority obeys God's commands and God's holy words which are and must be the only source of their commands and teachings.

4. We pray that the Holy Spirit lives and acts in us and not us in ourselves, Amen.

5. Laudare, Benedicere, Praedicare To Praise, To bless, To preach - Dominican motto

6. Contemplata aliis tradere - we must live a contemplative life together with apostolic life.

7. The Holy Spirit is the Only person of God that makes joyful. The Holy Spirit is the Love of the Father and the Son. Let us not deceive ourselves that all of us must always be joyful for the Holy Spirit is the Only One who makes us joyful and not by our efforts and to be seen by others to be joyful well in fact we are sad. We must pray to the Holy Spirit that He lives and acts in us in order to work for God alone that will cause us to be joyful because joy is happiness in God.

Go and set the world on fire!

"Jesus, I trust in You." "O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee."

To the greater glory of God!
